The 2010 WES National show was hailed as a great success in the current climate of economic uncertainty. The pre show clinic was fully booked. 78 Stabled booked and occupied, weather which was very dubious right up until Thursday evening cleared so that Friday and Saturday had some really good sunshine – although Sunday was a bit wet! Excellent numbers in all classes – 594 entries in total.WES is fortunate that it has a very well rehearsed and dedicated show team who have been together now for the past four years - although we were please to welcome two newcombers this year – Rob Painter who did a fantastic job with the commentary and Margaret Kemp who steradfastly managed the awards at the end of each class.Slight tweaks to the programme did cause a couple of unforeseen headaches but these were quickly overcome and the only real issue for next year will be the presentation of the trail awards now the classes are run outdoors.
My thanks to our show team

Sponsorships
Without the benefit of our Sponsors the cost to competitors would be significantly higher. This year we once again have the very kind and generous support of ZOK International as a major sponsor together with the support of the American Paint Horse Association who have provided our Judge. We must however not forget those members who have also sponsored the show. These include Nigel Crowe, Rob Dalton, and Margaret Kemp,
Thanks once again to Roger Wells for his very clever design of the trail patters which will help reduce the stress of the show team considerably and for preparing the pattern books
Thanks also to Lesley Sutcliffe of Farnham for their kind sponsorship
Blue Chip feeds very kindly provided vouchers for first to third place for every class to the value of £15, £10 and £5 respectively together with baseball caps for each Championship and a very nice jacket for the overall winner.
My thanks to everyone for their contribution. Results are below
